Peter Zollo
Cofounder of Joe & Bella, Former Family Caregiver to Both of His Parents
Peter is the co-founder of Joe & Bella, the first contemporary adaptive apparel brand for older adults, built on the belief that getting dressed should never cost someone their dignity.
Peter's path to Joe & Bella began with nearly a decade of caring and advocating for both of his parents, who lived with significant mobility limitations, Parkinsonian dementia, and age-related cognitive decline. That experience of navigating assisted-living communities, advocating for better care, and watching his parents face the daily challenge of maintaining independence became the foundation for everything Joe & Bella stands for. During that time, Peter became a vocal advocate for older adults and their families, speaking at state and national levels on the need for greater awareness and higher standards of care in assisted-living and memory-care communities. He also co-led three groundbreaking AARP studies on longevity, deepening his understanding of what older adults need to live well and independently.
Few careers have spanned both ends of the age spectrum. Peter spent three decades as one of the world's leading experts on young people. As founder and CEO of Teenage Research Unlimited (TRU), he built the global leader in youth insights, with operations in 40 countries. He is the author of three books on generational research and has advised some of the world's most iconic brands. He served as chief youth campaign advisor to the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy under three U.S. Presidents, and has appeared on CBS Evening News, Good Morning America, The Today Show, and ABC World News Tonight.
Having spent his career studying people at both ends of the age spectrum, Peter brings a rare and deeply personal perspective to the work of aging, caregiving, and independent living — and to the clothes that make every morning a little easier.
